Rationale and Significance 

The Third International Conference on Advancement of Development Administration 2014—
Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies (The 3rd ICADA 2014—SSIS), hosted by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), is inviting abstracts of review articles and/or research articles in social sciences and interdisciplinary studies. The theme of The 3rd ICADA 2014 is “ASEAN and Globalization: Integration, Diversity, and Prosperity” including academically related issues. The aims of this conference are (1) to bring together international academics, professionals, and undergraduate/graduate students with the general public by providing a stage for the latest research in social sciences and interdisciplinary studies to be presented and discussed and (2) to provide a forum for professionals with practical experience of the social and economic development of developing countries to exchange their views and share their knowledge with leading countries.  
“ASEAN and Globalization: Integration, Diversity, and Prosperity” as the major theme, has interested those from all sectors, not only public sectors, but also private sectors. The theme refers to the relevance between ASEAN and globalization in all aspects that affects environmental management, society, politics, ways of life, and business as well as global economy in the future for sustainable balance. Major activities will be organized, including special lecture, academic dialogues, and presentations of faculty members, academics and undergraduate/graduate students. This conference is not only the dissemination of scholarly works, but also the presentation of Thai art/culture to non-Thai participants.


2.1 To provide a public stage where academics, professionals, and university students can present their research at international level.  
2.2 To facilitate an exchange of knowledge and academic/research experiences. 
2.3 To encourage the development in academic researches with the purpose of supporting more effective learning and teaching processes as well as striving for the betterment in economics, society, and politics at both national and regional levels.
